Day 01:
- Arrival at Beirut International Airport, meet and assist by our
representative.
- Transfer to the hotel in Beirut for check in, dinner & overnight.
Day 02:
- After breakfast, Hiking on the high tablelands of Mount Lebanon passing
through some mountain villages and admiring unique karstic landscapes. Visit of
the “Cirque of Balaa” natural limestone bridges of exceptional beauty.
Altitude 1400/1800 m, easy level, 5 hours of effective walk, 12 km.
- Proceed to hotel in Bsharreh.
Day 03 & Day 04:
- After breakfast, The cultural landscape of the Qadicha Valley:
Classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO, this valley is located in the
heart of northern Lebanon at the foot of Mount Makmel. This region offers to
hikers a superb rocky landscape. These rocks house a great number of natural
cavities and grottos that were occupied by people from different communities who
took refuge in these caves building chapels, monasteries and hermitages.
Possibility of meeting local people still living in the valley and cultivating
their terraces.
Day 3: Altitude 1300 m/800 m, Moderate level, 5 hours of effective walk, 16 km.
- Proceed to hotel in Bsharreh.
Day 4: Altitude 1300 m/900 m, easy level, 4 hours of effective walk, 12 km.
- Proceed to hotel in Bsharreh.
 Day
05:
- After breakfast, Mount Makmel and the nature reserve of Ehden.
Hiking to the top of the Middle-East (3000 m) and enjoying the wonderful "lunar
landscapes" and the unique views on the Beqaa and the coast line.
Altitude 2700/3074 m, moderate level, 5 hours of effective walk, 15 km.
Proceed to Ehden by bus in the afternoon. This nature reserve is located on the
north-western face of Mount Makmel; it is considered as the unique existing true
forest in the Middle East with its preserved ecosystem of wild life: cedars
forests, pine trees and oak trees, endemic wild plants, etc…
Altitude 1650/1850 m, moderate level, 1 hour of effective walk, 4 km.
Proceed to hotel in Bsharreh.
Day 06:
- After breakfast, The region of Aakkar: Qammoua/ Akroum/ Hermel
-Hiking from Aakkar el Atika to the Mountain of Qamouaa. A wild protected area
with small hills and cliffs covered by forests.
Altitude1400-1900m; easy level; 3 hours of effective walk.
Proceed to Akroum by bus: hiking and visit of Roman temples and of a large
Byzantine church dedicated to Samson the Strong. Superb view on the mountains.
Altitude 900m, Easy hike, 1 hour of effective hike.
Visit of villagers cooking bread in tannours.
-Crossing the Mount-Lebanon range (by bus) to reach the region of Hermel which
forms the upper part of the fertile plain of the Bekaa valley (known from
Antiquity as the “granary” of Lebanon).
Proceed to the hotel in Baalbeck or Beirut for dinner and overnight.
Day 07:
- After breakfast, free day at leisure until time of transfer to
Beirut International Airport for departure.
