TAJMAHAL TOUR (03 Nights / 04 Days) Delhi-Agra-Delhi Agra, once the capital of the Mughal Empire during the 16th and early 18th centuries, is four hours by road from New Delhi. Tourists from all over the world visit Agra not to see the ruins of the red sandstone fortress built by the Mughal emperors but to make a pilgrimage to Taj Mahal, India’s most famous architectural wonder, in a land where magnificent temples and edificies abound to remind visitors about the rich civilization of a country that is slowly but surely lifting itself into an industrialized society. This will be a cultural evening, we visit Chokhi Dhani - An ethnic village resort, the vitality of Rajasthani folk culture comes alive as children dance rhythmically to the loud tenor of folk songs sung by men and women, festooned in bright clothes. Gaily caparisoned camel, horses and bullock carts offer joy rides. A traditional Rajasthani dinner will be served. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 05 We stop to view the elegant Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds)- this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Day 08 In Amritsar: Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour visiting Amritsar’s resplendent Golden Temple - Spiritual Center of Sikh Faith, built by Guru Arjun Singh in the late 16th Century. Later we proceed to Jallianwala Bagh Memorial – an important monument dedicated to hundreds of martyrs of a massacre in 1919. We visit Durgiana Temple which also draws its share of pilgrims.
