ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrive Siem Reap

On arrival at Siem Reap airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel, Entering the Angkor complex we climb Phnom Bakheng Temple for a sunset view over Angkor Wat and the surrounding area.

Built by the Khmer Empire between the 9th and 12th centuries, the temples of Angkor are believed to represent the cosmic world, and stretch across an area of over 160 square kilometers.

Day 2 Siem Reap

Awakening before sunrise, we travel to the stunning temple of Angkor Wat and witness its awesome majesty as it is bathed in the rays of the early morning sun. Walking the corridors and climbing the steps of this architectural masterpiece, the storiesdepicted in the ornate bas-reliefs are explained to us. Moving on we discover the atmospheric 'jungle temple' of Ta Prohm, where roots of massive fig trees have embraced and framed the stone structures - Bayon Temple with its giant stone faces standing as serene sentinels and the Terrace of the Elephants. In the late afternoon we journey to the Temple of Banteay Srei and view the exquisite and detailed stone carvings of this 10th Century structure, There are several temples, which afford beautiful sunset views as we return to the Town of Siem Reap.

Day 3 Depart Siem Reap

This morning we cruise the floating fishing villages of Ton Le Sap Lake - the largest lake in Southeast Asia and one of the richest sources of freshwater fish in the world, Returning to Siem Reap we are free to explore the markets and museums until our transfer to the airport for your ongoing flight.
